What we collect

When you play Driftscape through Steam, we receive information needed to run the game and display leaderboards:

• Steam username and profile identifier — provided by Steam when you sign in, used to attribute scores on in-game leaderboards.
• Gameplay scores and times — your level scores, run times, and related leaderboard entries you submit by playing.
• Steam achievements — progress synced through Steam’s achievement system when you unlock them in-game.

We do not ask you to create a separate Driftscape account, and we do not collect payment information — purchases are handled entirely by Steam.

How we use your data

We use the information above only to:

• Display leaderboards (per-level, full-run, and speedrun boards) with your Steam username next to your score.
• Operate core game features that depend on Steam, including achievements.
• Fix bugs and improve gameplay when score or sync issues are reported.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising or cross-game profiling.

Steam

Driftscape uses Steamworks for authentication, achievements, and distribution. Valve processes your Steam account data under its own policies. See Steam’s Privacy Policy for details on what Valve collects and how it is used.

Leaderboards and retention

Scores you earn while playing may be stored on our servers so leaderboards remain available to other players. Entries typically include your Steam username, score or time, difficulty, and the level or run they belong to. We retain leaderboard data for as long as the feature is offered, unless we remove outdated entries during resets or maintenance.

This website

The Driftscape promo site at driftscapevoid.com is a static information page. It does not use sign-in, cookies for tracking, or analytics beyond what your browser and hosting provider may log automatically (such as IP address in server logs). Contact details you send us by email are used only to respond to your message.

Children

Driftscape is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

You can adjust visibility of your Steam profile through Steam’s own settings. To request removal of your leaderboard entries or ask questions about data we hold, contact us using the details on our Support page. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Changes

We may update this policy as the game or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the current version. Continued play after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
